RuPay Scan and Score takes you on a rewarding journey by accumulating RuPay Coins through UPI spends using RuPay credit card. How can I earn these rewards?

Upon entering RuPay Scan & Score, accumulate RuPay Coins through spending with CC on UPI transactions. With higher transactions you unlock new Tiers and with each tier, the rewarding Coins keep getting bigger and better. Make sure to link your RuPay Credit Card on UPI to start your journey.

How can I get Coins?

RuPay Coins can only be accumulated by making payments with your RuPay credit Card on UPI. In Silver Tier, you earn 1 Coin for every ₹400 spent. In Gold Tier, you earn 1 Coin for every ₹200 spent and in Platinum Tier you earn 1 Coin for every ₹100 spent with your RuPay Credit Card on UPI. Keep spending to accumulate more RuPay Coins.

Users will earn Coins on a pro-rata basis, irrespective of the transaction value i.e. if a user has done a transaction of ₹200 when he is Silver Tier, then the user will get 0.50 coins

Is my RuPay Credit Card eligible for RuPay Scan and Score?

Your RuPay Credit Card is eligible for RuPay Scan and Score if it belongs to one of the following banks -

How many Tiers are there in the RuPay Scan and Score journey?

There are 3 Tiers in RuPay Scan & Score, i.e. Silver, Gold, and Platinum. By spending a higher amount with required transaction counts, unlock Tiers and get higher reward Coins.

How many RuPay Coins can I accumulate by scanning a RuPay Scan & Score QR?

RuPay Scan & Score’s QR is only for the purpose of program registration. For Coins accrual, keep spending with your RuPay CC on UPI.

How do I unlock Silver Tier?

You unlock Silver Tier as soon as your register in the RuPay Scan & Score program. In Silver Tier, you get 1 Coin on every ₹400 spent.

Users will earn Coins on a pro-rata basis, irrespective of the transaction value i.e. if a user has done a transaction of ₹200 when he is Silver Tier, then the user will get 0.50 coins

How do I unlock Gold Tier?

To unlock Gold Tier, you need to do transactions worth ₹60,000 with a total count of 40 transactions after entering RuPay Scan and Score program. Gold Tier enables you to get 1 RuPay Coin on every ₹200 spent.

Users will earn Coins on a pro-rata basis, irrespective of the transaction value i.e. if a user has done a transaction of ?100 when he is Gold Tier, then the user will get 0.50 coins

How do I unlock Platinum Tier?

To unlock the Platinum Tier, you need to do additional transactions worth ₹90,000 with a total of 80 transactions after entering Gold Tier. This means that you need to do a cumulative spend of ₹1,50,000 with a total count of 120 transactions after entering RuPay Scan and Score Rewards program to unlock Platinum Tier. Platinum Tier is the top Tier, which enables you to get 1 RuPay Coin on every ₹100 spent.

Users will earn Coins on a pro-rata basis, irrespective of the transaction value i.e. if a user has done a transaction of ₹50 when he is in Platinum Tier, then the user will get 0.50 coins

How do I maintain Gold Tier?

To maintain Gold Tier, you need to do transactions worth ₹15,000 and 13 transactions per month. Gold Tier enables you to get 1 Coin on every ₹200 spent.

How do I maintain Platinum Tier?

To maintain the Platinum Tier, you need to do transactions worth ₹25,000 and 20 transactions per month. Platinum Tier enables you to get 1 Coin on every ₹100 spent.

How do I redeem my accumulated Coins?

To redeem your coins for vouchers, send a “Hi” and click on the "Get Vouchers" button within the Menu option in RuPay Scan and Score WhatsApp chat. Upon clicking, a list of available vouchers will appear. Simply choose the voucher you want by clicking the "Redeem" button. You can redeem your Coins against these vouchers as per your available balance. The value of 1 Coin is ₹1 for all voucher redemption.

Is my payment eligible for the rewards?

You accumulate Coins for all eligible payments made using your RuPay Credit Card on UPI. To know more about the payments eligible for RuPay Scan and Score, please refer to the T&C of program.

Can I use the RuPay Scan and Score QR codes to make payments?

No, you cannot make payments or send money by scanning the RuPay Scan & Score QR codes. Scanning RuPay Scan & Score QR codes will direct you to the WhatsApp channel to take you on the rewarding journey of RuPay Scan and Score Rewards program.

How many RuPay Coins can be accumulated by making payments with RuPay Credit card on UPI?

There is a per transaction capping and cumulative monthly accrual capping against each Tier. Refer Tier wise capping detail in below table:

Why haven’t my RuPay Coins increased despite making payments using RuPay Credit card on UPI?

If payments are made today, the updated Tier journey along with the RuPay Coin balance will be displayed two days after transaction. Also, there is certain criteria on the payments which are eligible for the RuPay Scan & Score campaign.

What are the vouchers?

a. This vouchers are gifts/Present which are exchangeable against the goods & services.

How do I use my voucher?

a. Online – you need to apply the code in the promo & offers section before making the payment.
    Offline – you need to show the voucher/code at the cash counter before making the payment.

Where can I use my voucher?

a. The voucher can be used on the partner’s website/app or store as applicable.

Can I combine my voucher with other offers or discounts?

a. Combining/Clubbing the voucher with existing offers & discount shall be at the partner’s discretion, whose voucher is issued. For details refer voucher’s T&C.

Can I get cash back for my voucher?

a. No, User cannot receive cashback against the vouchers.

Can I transfer my voucher to someone else?

a. Yes, the voucher can be transferred to another person on user’s discretion

What happens if I lose my voucher?

a. In case the voucher is lost by the user, there will be no obligation of replacement for the lost voucher

By participating in the RuPay Scan & Score Rewards Program (“Program”)you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

1. Terms for participating in the Program

1.1. Duration

1.1.1. The RuPay Scan & Score Rewards Program will commence from 18th June 2024 and shall continue until 31st March 2025 (“Tenure”).

1.1.2. The Program Tenure can be modified or extended based on the sole and absolute discretion of NPCI.

1.2. Eligibility

1.2.1. Any User who is 18 or above years of age is eligible to participate in the Program and this Program is being carried out Pan India

1.2.2. Transaction Eligibility

1.2.2.1. A transaction will be considered eligible for RuPay Scan & Score Rewards Program (“Program”) Coins accrual, provided it fulfils the following requirements:

  • Payer account type is RuPay Credit Card (“RCC”) through UPI
  • The transaction is a successful transaction.
  • Minimum transaction value ₹400 for Silver Tier, ₹200 for Gold Tier & ₹100 for Platinum Tier
  • The transaction should fulfil below categorisation for Coins accrual:
    • All online transactions are eligible for Coins accrual
    • In offline transactions, all large merchants’ transactions are eligible for Coins accrual
    • In offline transactions at small merchants’ stores, transaction value should be greater than ₹2000. Transactions value less than ₹2000 at small merchant stores will not be eligible for RSAS Rewards Program Coins accrual.
  • Only those transactions where interchange is applicable (refer circular NPCI/2022-23/RuPay/019-A ) is eligible for the Coins accrual in RSAS Rewards Program.
  • Transaction shall only be calculated for Coins accrual from the date of user’s registration in the program, till the end of the program (both days inclusive).

Effective 20th October 2024, there will be no minimum transaction value requirement of ₹400 for Silver Tier, ₹200 for Gold Tier & ₹100 for Platinum Tier

1.2.2.3 Excluded transactions for RSAS Rewards Program Coins accrual:

  • Transactions done under below categories shall be not considered for Coins accrual:

1.2.3. RuPay Scan & Score Loyalty Program

1.2.3.1. User would be able to earn Reward Coins against each eligible transaction, criteria for which is stated under point 1.2.2. Tiers will be unlocked at each stage on fulfilment of both the conditions (minimum number of cumulative Transactions & minimum cumulative Spend) set against each Tier.

1.2.3.2. Any new Tier will be unlocked only after the previous tier is unlocked / fulfilled.

1.2.3.3. Coins Earning Process:

1.2.3.3.A. New Coins Earning Process: (Effective from 20th October 2024)

1.2.3.3.A.1. A User would earn 1 Coin for every ₹400 spent in Silver Tier, 1 Coin for every ₹200 spent in Gold Tier and 1 Coin for every ₹100 spent in Platinum Tier.

1.2.3.3.A.2. Users will earn Coins on a pro-rata basis, irrespective of the transaction value i.e. if a user has done a transaction of ₹200 when he is Silver Tier, then the user will get 0.50 coins

1.2.3.3.A.3. There will not be any minimum transaction value threshold requirement in any Tier which will allow users to receive rewards based on their actual spends

1.2.3.3.A.4. There is a per transaction capping applicable in the program, where a Silver Tier User would earn max. 25 Coins per transaction; Gold Tier User would earn max. 50 Coins per transaction; and Platinum Tier User would earn max. 100 Coins per transaction.

1.2.3.3.A.5. As per the monthly Coins accrual capping rule, a Silver Tier User would earn max. 250 Coins per month; Gold Tier User would earn max. 500 Coins per month; and Platinum Tier User would earn max. 1000 Coins per month.

1.2.3.3.A.6. To maintain Gold tier, users must conduct transactions totalling at least ₹15,000 along with 13 transactions per month.

1.2.3.3.A.7. To maintain Platinum tier, users must conduct transactions totalling at least ₹25,000 along with 20 transactions per month.

1.2.3.3.B. Earlier Coins Earning Process: (Effective until 19th October 2024)

1.2.3.3.B.1. A User would earn 1 Coin for every ₹400 spent in Silver Tier, 1 Coin for every ₹200 spent in Gold Tier and 1 Coin for every ₹100 spent in Platinum Tier.

1.2.3.3.B.2. There is a per transaction capping applicable in the program, where a Silver Tier User would earn max. 25 Coins per transaction; Gold Tier User would earn max. 50 Coins per transaction; and Platinum Tier User would earn max. 100 Coins per transaction.

1.2.3.3.B.3. As per the monthly Coins accrual capping rule, a Silver Tier User would earn max. 250 Coins per month; Gold Tier User would earn max. 500 Coins per month; and Platinum Tier User would earn max. 1000 Coins per month.

1.2.3.3.B.4. To maintain Gold tier, users must conduct transactions totalling at least ₹25,000 along with 25 transactions per month.

1.2.3.3.B.5. To maintain Platinum tier, users must conduct transactions totalling at least ₹40,000 along with 40 transactions per month.

1.2.3.4. Coins Redemption Process:

1.2.3.4.1. Coins accumulated by the program members can be redeemed within chatbot

1.2.3.4.2. User must click on ‘Redeem Coins’ from main menu options

1.2.3.4.3. A User would be able to view the list of vouchers available for redemption in the chatbot. User can redeem the available Coins balance against the vouchers listed. A User can only redeem one voucher in a single redemption request

1.2.3.4.4. Availability of brand vouchers and denomination is sole discretion of NPCI.

All transactions should qualify the eligibility criteria given in point 1.2.2.

1.3. Offer & Voucher Terms

1.3.1. The applicability of offers and vouchers may vary for each participating merchant in this Program.

1.3.2. The offer & voucher terms may vary for each participating merchant in this Program.

1.3.3. The validity of offers & vouchers will vary for each participating merchant in this Program.

1.3.4. The offers are not transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be enchased at the retail participating stores.

1.3.5. The vouchers are non-negotiable and cannot be encashed at the retail participating stores.

1.3.6. The User acknowledges that the offers & vouchers offered by participating merchant shall be redeemed on the respective website and/or mobile application of the said participating merchant and the issue and use of such offers & vouchers will be in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of the respective merchant.

1.3.7. The User acknowledges that NPCI disclaims all responsibility and liability associated with the offers and vouchers, including without limitation, any warranties associated with the offers & vouchers and/or additional costs associated with the offers & vouchers and its redemption.

2. Collection and Usage of your information

2.1. We collect, process, use, store, transfer, disclose and share your information with your consent. By participating in the RuPay Scan & Score and providing your personal information, you consent to the processing of your personal information in accordance with these Terms.

2.2. NPCI (“We, Us, Our”) collects personal and financial information from you when you scan the QR code/Click RSAS digital banner/Send a nudge or attempt to scan the QR Code/Click RSAS digital banner/Send a nudge or interact with NPCI, such as:

2.2.1 Personal information such as your name, photograph, date of birth, email id/address, phone number, profile details, gender, address, and other personally identifiable information provided by you to participate in the Program.

2.2.2 Financial and transaction information such as your bank account details, card details, other financial transaction related information (including but not limited to, transaction details and history, etc.).

2.2.3 Your device details like device identifier, SIM details, location, cookies, plug-ins.

2.3. In general, the information you submit to us is used either to provide services to you or respond to requests that you make, by us or our service providers, in the following ways:

  • To send you an e-mail or message in relation to the Program, including offers and promotional materials.
  • To identify you as a user in our system.
  • To send you administrative e-mails, messages, or notifications.
  • To resolve disputes, meet legal obligations.
  • To click photographs of the Winner and use the Winner’s name and photograph, for advertising and promotional purposes in any media worldwide, only for the purposes of advertising and without any additional compensation whatsoever to the Winner.

2.4. We may share your personal information in relation to the Program for the purposes of processing your transactions and other instructions with different persons/entities or participating in a payment system, service providers, business associates, government and regulatory authorities, consultants, and internal departments.

2.5. We may share your personal information, on a need-to-know basis, for the following purposes:

2.5.1. Grievances. For grievance redressal and dispute management related to the Program.

2.5.2. Fraud and Risk management. For verification, investigation or prevention of frauds or to manage risks (including risk mitigation) or recover funds in accordance with applicable laws or for User awareness and safety.

2.6. Where your information is shared with service providers, merchants or any regulatory or government authorities, the use and processing of your information is governed by their respective policies. NPCI ensures strict obligations for protection of your information are imposed on these entities, wherever applicable and to the extent possible/feasible for NPCI. However, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for usage of your information by these third parties or their policies.

3. Other terms

3.1. NPCI will not be responsible or liable in case the transaction could not be done due to but not limited to malfunction, delay, traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website.

3.2. NPCI may, at any time change, amend, add or delete the RuPay Scan Score Rewards Program rules, terms and conditions associated with the program and communicate the changes to you and the member banks from time to time.

3.3. NPCI also reserves the right to amend, modify including the right to discontinue the Program without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.

3.4. NPCI holds out no warranty or makes no representation about the transportation, quality, delivery or otherwise of the goods and services offered or sold as part of the Program. Any dispute or claim regarding the goods and services must be resolved by you with the seller directly without any reference to NPCI.

3.5. Decision made by NPCI will be final and binding on you.

4. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and the relationship between you and NPCI shall be governed by the laws of the India as applied to agreements made, entered, and performed entirely in India, notwithstanding your actual place of residence. The appropriate courts and forums located at Mumbai; Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction in any proceedings arising out of the Program. NPCI may, however, in its absolute discretion commence any legal action or proceedings arising out of the Program in any other court, tribunal or other appropriate forum and you hereby consent to that jurisdiction.

Terms and Conditions for RuPay Scan & Score – TATA IPL Ticket Program

The terms and conditions included in this document shall be applicable to all Users accessing the Contest for participating in the “RuPay Scan & Score – TATA IPL Ticket Program” and are deemed to agree to be bound by the terms and be regulated by the provisions of the specified products and services provided by National Payments Corporation of India (“NPCI”). Any User participating in the Contest shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms, and these Terms shall be in addition to and not in derogation of other applicable terms and conditions applicable on the User and/or such other terms and conditions as may be specified by NPCI with respect to its products / services. The terms and conditions may undergo changes or modifications from time to time at NPCI’s sole discretion, it is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure their compliance. Hence, it is recommended that Participants timely revisit the T&C available at RuPay website.

Definitions

Contest/ Program Refers to the “RuPay Scan & Score – TATA IPL Ticket Program”
Organizers Refers to National Payment Corporation of India (“NPCI”), its related entities and its representatives.
User Refers to any interested persons accessing the T&C/ rules of the Contest.
Participant Eligibility

For Participants to successfully participate in the Program, they must fulfill the below conditions –

a. Must be 18 or above years of age,

b. Must be a RuPay credit card holder,

c. Must be registered in RuPay Scan & Score Program and has recorded and shared their preferred city/venue for TATA IPL Ticket and email ID in the enrolment form.

Contest Period

Refers to as the period during which the contest will be live and accessible to the RuPay card user’s viz. between 9th March 2025 and 12th April 2025.

Winner selection Refers to the process of selecting the winner during the Contest period for each week. The winner will be the top spender of RuPay Credit Card on UPI transactions in a particular week as defined in the Contest Period.
Winner Refers to an eligible Participant selected as the winner as per the Terms of this Contest. Further, the winner will be the top spender of RuPay Credit Card on UPI transactions in a particular contest week.
Large Merchant

Refers to merchants with an annual turnover above ₹20 lakh during the previous financial year*

BIN/ Bank Identification Number Refers to the first six digits of a credit or debit card number, which helps identify the institution that issued the card. The BIN is used to route transactions, verify the card’s authenticity, and determine the card type
MCC Refers to the four-digit code used to classify businesses or merchants based on the type of goods or services they provide.
P2M (Person to Merchant) Refers to transactions where a person makes a payment to a merchant (business or service provider) for goods or services
Online transactions Refers to transactions made through RuPay Credit Card on UPI when Participants make purchases or payments on websites, mobile apps, or any online platform
Offline transactions Refers to payments made in physical locations (like retail stores, restaurants, or other businesses) using RuPay Credit Card on UPI by physically scanning a UPI QR code.

By participating in the “Program” you (“Participant”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

How to Participate in RuPay Scan & Score – TATA IPL Ticket Program

1. In order to successfully participate in the Contest, a User is required to enroll in the “RuPay Scan & Score – TATA IPL Ticket Program” and submit a complete enrolment form along with accepting the Contest related rules and regulations.

2. The enrollment form will require the User to submit details such as Email Id and preferred match city among others. By submitting the enrolment form, the Participant grants NPCI their consent to participate in the Program and to contact the Participant using their email address and mobile number if the Participant is selected as winner. For the purpose of the Contest, the mobile number of the Participant will be considered as the unique identifier to determine the total amount of transactions and for subsequent selection of winner.

3. Basis the submission made in the enrolment form, the Participant’s choice of preferred city/venue will be considered as final; the Participant will be competing against other contestants for TATA IPL Tickets within that city/venue for the entire Contest Period, till the results are announced.

4. No changes will be made to the city/venue selected by the Participant, post the first selection and any consecutive selection after the initial submission will not be considered. Any additional submissions for the city/venue will be deemed invalid.

5. NPCI will not be responsible in case of any technical failures, it is the sole responsibility of the Participant to successfully submit the enrolment form.

Winner selection process

1. The mobile number of the Participant will be considered as the unique identifier to determine the total amount of transactions and for subsequent winner selection process.

2. Below listed are the requirements that a Participant must fulfil in order to be selected as the winner –

  1. Participants must be eligible,
  2. Participant must be the highest spender viz. using RuPay Credit Card via UPI during the specified week will be deemed the winner for that week.
  3. Eligible transactions and minimum value of transaction required to qualify for the contest are specified below in Annexure I.
  4. In case of two or more Users having the same amount of highest value transactions, then the user with the higher number of transactions will be announced as winner. And in case of further drawing amongst Users, the winner will be the user who has done the earliest RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction in that week
  5. NPCI’s decision with respect to the winner will be final and binding on all Participants, and NPCI will not be obligated to share any sensitive data including the value of transaction of any Participant, including the winner, among others. The final selection of the winner will lie at the sole discretion of NPCI.

3. Winners of the Contest will be selected every contest week, calculation of the highest spend will be done considering the start and end date of the contest week. Each contest week there will be only one winner from each city, and each winner will be eligible to win 2 general tickets per contest week.

4. For the calculation of the highest spending for any newly enrolling Participant, all transactions of that week will be considered irrespective of when the User enrolls in the contest/Program in that week.

5. Participants selected as winners in the previous Contest week will not be eligible to participate in the Contest further during the Contest Period.

6. By participating in this Contest, the Participant accepts and allows NPCI and its representatives to contact them via their mobile number, if they emerge the winner for the Contest week, among others.

7. The winner will receive TATA IPL tickets only as per the match schedule and no change of ticket or ticket recipient shall be permitted.

8. The winner will be informed of the winning status, further details on the ticket collection process and contact details of the ticket delivery agent.

9. The winner will be required to furnish the below –

  1. Must provide a written or digital or photographical acknowledgment confirming receipt of the TATA IPL match tickets, as prescribed by NPCI directly or through NPCI appointed third-party.
  2. In case the winner does not provide an acknowledgement, the tickets will not be handed over to the winner and the winner will be disqualified.
  3. Winners must carry their government issued identity-proof to collect the tickets from the ticket delivery agent.
  4. It will be the responsibility of the winner to collect the tickets from the ticket delivery agent, additionally the collection of the tickets must be done by the winner themselves and not their representatives. Tickets will be available to a winner for collection only 2 hours before the match to 1 hour post starting of the match, however the same may undergo changes based on on-ground logistics.

10. The winner will not receive any entitlements other than the IPL tickets. The winner will not be provided any provision for travelling to the city/ venue, accommodation, food, & beverage or any other benefits.

11. The eligible winner should provide consent to accept and willingness to attend the match within 2 days from the date of the announcement of results. In case, no response or no confirmation is received from the winner, the winner will not be eligible for the tickets and the tickets will be issued to any other person, basis NPCI’s sole discretion.

12. If the winner fails to claim match tickets, subsequent Participant will be selected as the winner, as per NPCI’s sole discretion.

13. If there are no winners in a week in any city, no tickets will be issued for that week. No carry-over or additional allocation will be made with these tickets for the consecutive matches in the city/venue.

Other important terms

1. The TATA IPL tickets will be regular seating category (general). The winner will get two general seating category tickets. The seats may be anywhere in the stadium and no promises with respect to the location of seats are being made under this Program. Premium or VIP tickets are not included under this Program.

2. The tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

3. Any attempt to manipulate or abuse the contest (for example – fraudulent transactions), will result in disqualification.

4. NPCI shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or personal injury arising from participation in the Program or use of the TATA IPL tickets.

5. NPCI is not liable for any cancellations, postponements, or changes in TATA IPL match schedules or any situation in relation to the Program which is outside the control of NPCI.

6. The contest will not be applicable to employees of NPCI Group Companies, Campaign development partners and their direct relatives.

7. NPCI shall scrutinize all documents submitted and may, at its sole and absolute discretion, disqualify any Winner on the following reasons:

  1. Determination by NPCI that any document or information submitted by the User is incorrect, misleading, false, fabricated, incomplete or illegible.
  2. User does not fulfil the Eligibility Criteria.
  3. User has done fraudulent transactions.

8. This Program is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of this Program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Mumbai, India.

9. NPCI shall not be liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under this Program due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, technical failures, or the cancellation/postponement of TATA IPL matches by the event organizers. In such cases, NPCI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Program without prior notice to the Participants.

10. The aggregate liability of NPCI under any circumstance shall not exceed an amount of ₹2,000 and NPCI shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, punitive or special damages.

Annexure I

A. Eligibility of Transactions

i. A transaction will be considered eligible for the Program, provided it fulfils the following requirements:

a) Participant’s mode of payment must be RuPay Credit Card through UPI on RuPay Credit Card.

b) P2M (Person to Merchant) transactions will only be considered for the contest.

c) The transaction must be a successful transaction.

d) To be eligible for the contest, the minimum value of transactions per week should be ₹15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) & at least 10 transactions must be made via RuPay Credit Card on UPI.

ii. The transaction should fulfil below categorization to be considered eligible:
